Madeo partners on branding and website projects on paid projects with leading foundations and nonprofit organizations. We created this in-kind service grant program to particularly support much smaller nonprofits with limited resources, but limitless potential:

• Active 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
• Annual nonprofit revenue of approximately $4 million or less
• Values design and digital communications as a tool for change
• Has sufficient audience for the project to make a difference
• Demonstrates commitment and expertise in their area of focus
• Commits to seeing through the project’s purpose beyond its launch

1. Are you selecting three organizations for three project types?
   We are planning to invest in one major in-kind project in 2026. Organizations can choose from three types of projects to provide them with flexibility and for us to respond to the type of project that may be most impactful. 
2. Can we apply to more than one project type?
   Yes. Organizations can apply to one or more project types. We will evaluate each application and select one project with the highest potential for success. 
3. What makes a strong application?
   Clear articulation of your mission, the project’s purpose, your organizational capacity to collaborate on a months-long project, and how this work would amplify your impact. We’re looking for exceptional partners ready to see the project through beyond its launch.
4. Our revenue fluctuates year to year. Are we still eligible?
   If you’re generally around or under $4 million in annual revenue or operating budget, we encourage you to apply and explain your situation in the application. If your organization is well over the eligibility limit, you can still reach out and work with us on projects, but just less likely on a pro bono basis. 
5. Can coalitions or advocacy groups apply?
   Yes, as long as there’s at least one active 501(c)(3) organization leading the application.
6. We already started planning this type of project. Can we still apply?
   Yes. We’re interested in partnering on projects at various stages, but will likely select a project inviting a true strategic partnership, not only an implementation phase for strategy or design work you started.
7. What if the project needs more time than September 2026?
   The estimated completion is September 2026, but actual timelines will be finalized with the selected organization in May. We’ll work together to define a realistic scope and schedule.
8. What kind of commitment will this require from our team?
   You’ll need key decision-makers available for regular check-ins, strategic discussions, content development, and review cycles throughout the project. We’ll define specific expectations together during project planning.
9. Is there a specific social issue that Madeo is looking for in applications?
   No. We are open to all social causes that provide a positive impact to communities. As an agency, we have experience partnering on many issues: racial & social justice, legal reform, gender inequality, education, peacebuilding, healthcare, income inequality, climate change, community building, and the advancement of arts & culture to name a few.
10. Should we attend an informational session before applying?
    It’s not required, but we encourage it. These sessions will help you understand our process, see examples of our work, and get questions answered before investing time in an application.
11. What happens after we apply?
    We’ll review all applications after the March 26 deadline. Shortlisted organizations will hear from us by April 16 for virtual interviews. The selected organization will be announced by May 1, with project planning beginning shortly after.
