Meet the Madeo In-Kind nonprofit finalists

Six diverse and inspiring shortlisted nonprofits exploring large-scale rebranding and campaign projects to be donated by Madeo

When we launched Madeo In-Kind earlier this year, we set out to offer in-kind projects in a way that is more transparent. As part of that, we want to give the spotlight to our finalists, not just the one organization we end up partnering with. Each finalist is doing work worth knowing about, and we hope that by sharing them here, more people will get behind their missions.

Over 160 nonprofit organizations applied to our pro bono program, far more than we imagined. The organizations work across the full spectrum of areas of impact: arts & culture, women’s empowerment, mental health, education, political engagement, climate, and beyond.

In narrowing things down to our six finalists, we found that many organizations who applied described real urgency, not just “nice to have” projects, but communications and brand challenges that were actively limiting their ability to fundraise, recruit, and serve their communities.

Meet the Finalists

The following finalist organizations applied for either a large-scale holistic rebrand or a major awareness campaign to expand their reach.

RETI Center is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that empowers coastal communities through climate resilience, green job training, and ecosystem restoration rooted in equity and justice.

The Woodstock Film Festival nurtures filmmakers through year-round programming and an annual Oscar-qualifying festival celebrating independent cinema, diversity, and community in New York’s Hudson Valley.

Groundswell International strengthens rural communities worldwide by building healthy, sustainable farming and food systems from the ground up.

Atlanta Film Society champions the shared power of film to connect communities and grow a thriving industry at the intersection of art, culture, and commerce.

Fairtrade America connects disadvantaged producers with consumers, promoting fairer trade conditions that empower farmers and workers to build better lives.

Children & Nature Network mobilizes leaders, educators, and parents to reconnect kids with the outdoors and ensure equitable access to nature for all.

Selecting One Organization

We had the pleasure of meeting with each of the finalist organizations, and every conversation reminded us why this work matters. Narrowing our selection to one organization from here comes down to the project itself — not the strength of any mission, but how we can create lasting impact together within approximately 12 weeks and what this format can offer that’s distinct from our larger nonprofit engagements. More than anything, we see this as the beginning of deeper relationships with all of these organizations, and we can’t wait to bring them closer to our community.
